Composed by Sergio Altamura, "Blu" is a 12 track album, which exceeds preconceived contemporary limits of instrumental music for acoustic guitar; with percussion, loops, mechanical fans, intoxicating vocals and other guitars. "Blu," was recorded at Imaginary Road Studios by Will Ackerman: eminent guitar player and founder of the historical Windham Hill Records.

Sergio Altamura latest release plays more like a movie soundtrack than a instrumental guitar CD. Aria Meccanica plays out scene by scene, creating countless images and setting dark and beautiful moods throughout. Through Altamura's innovative use of looping and effects he takes the compositions to impossible heights and adds so many layers of texture, it builds to full orchestra.

Antoine Dufour's fifth solo CD, Sound Pictures, starts off with a new original composition "These Moments" which has a killer groove and melody that is always front & center. The next track, Spiritual Groove is a live solo version of his composition that sounds better than on his earlier recordings. "Midwestern Expansion" is a piano duet track with Brad Hoyt that sounds great and the piano is perfect compliment. "Solitude" and "Glimmer of Hope" are both solo versions of these compostions and again to my ears, sound better than the earlier recordings.

Antoine Dufour's forth solo CD, Convergences, moves forward where his last CD, Existence left off. Dufour's style continues to develop, bounded only by his imagination and his technical dexterity. As he says, Convergences "Is his attempt to develop songs influenced by some of his favorite artists and bands and make them into his own."
Solo Acoustic Guitar
Antoine Dufour's third solo cd, Existence, is his best yet by far, with epic compositions that break ground on the instrument and move more towards a progressive rock sound than displayed on his first two CDs, Naissance and Development. As he says, "The acoustic guitar is an instrument which has a very rich sound, and offers infinite possibilities to the player."

Breakfast for Dogs is Don Ross's first all-solo-guitar record in years (namely since Passion Session in 1999). "I decided just to record whatever the heck I felt like doing for this one, bit by bit over the course of several months in 2010. Hence the album title. I think of the CD as a bit of a "dog's breakfast," in that there's no particular theme that binds the tunes"

In my humble opinion, Andy is the most innovative and exciting fingerstyle guitarist to emerge in years. Still in his 20's, Andy has developed a mastery of the 6-string guitar and the harp guitar that leaves me speechless. He is the most textural player of the instrument since Michael Hedges, and he creates sonic architecture worthy of the great modern composers for any instrument. - Don Ross

Gates of Gnomeria is a collection of Andy McKee original songs and two covers. His cover of Björk's Venus as a Boy is a stunning multi-track arrangement of one of her best known songs from her debut. Joined by Bassist Jeff Schmidt on two songs, A Sphere and Dependant Arising, the songs on Gates of Gnomeria as a collection are more laid-back than on Art of Motion and convey larger musical ideas at the same time.

From the Music Without Words CD liner notes;
I play music because I need to. I also play music because it expresses that which words so often cannot. A good deal of the music I listen to has no words, and though I’ve written a handful of songs with lyrics, most of what I play and write also has no words.
