Pedro Tagliani was co-founder, guitarist, composer and arranger of the brazilian jazz-group ”raiz de pedra”. Since 1993 he lives and works in Europe. His latest CD ”Arvoredo”, another milestone, is resulting from the fruitful co-operation with the renowned Austrian saxophonist Thomas Kugi.

The music collected here was woven into existence in a three-day period of live in the studio recording with my colleagues jim anton and jt bates. The sounds captured reveal the fruits of uncounted hours of ensemble building; stretching and merging the possibilities of strict part-playing with wide open explorations of each melodic moment.

"Willow Weep for Me," "Over the Rainbow," and his own composition, "Flying Home," are offered as examples of Jordan's jaw-dropping solo work near this satisfying set's close.
