Big Comet Headed For Earth : Jack West & Curvature

This is the second release from Jack West and Curvature. It features: Jack
West--acoustic guitar, Calder Spanier--alto and soprano saxophone, Joel
Davel--marimba and percussion, and Ricky Carter--percussion. The concept of this
album was to capture the live sound of the Curvature quartet in a studio
setting. Most of the tunes were recorded live at Ahead Behind Studio with no
overdubs.
Many Curvature fans consider the writing and performances on this
record to be extraordinary. The album is dedicated to the late Calder Spanier
who died in a car accident on Dec.4, 1997. It includes his last recorded
performance on saxophone.
