Peter Ciluzzi joins the Candyrat Records Artist Roster with his debut solo CD release, Music Without Words, a collection of 12 original solo guitar compositions. On the first listen, you realize that Ciluzzi's relationship with the guitar goes much deeper than most, he channels his music from deep within and transmits it through the instrument in stunning beauty. His melodies are haunting and his musical textures paint a lush and sometimes chilling picture.
“Music without Words” showcases Ciluzzi’s prowess as a musician, composer, and luthier; the entire record was performed and recorded on a guitar that he built by hand. Having studied music at Berklee and New England Conservatory, Peter went on to study guitarmaking at The American School of Lutherie. He has toured in the U.S. with Antoine Dufour and Craig D’Andrea and presently commissions and builds custom guitars out of his workshop based in Massachusetts.
Solo Acoustic Guitar
From the Music Without Words CD liner notes;
I play music because I need to. I also play music because it expresses that which words so often cannot. A good deal of the music I listen to has no words, and though I’ve written a handful of songs with lyrics, most of what I play and write also has no words.
