The music produced by the then 24-year-old Karim Baggili was difficult to describe. A little flamenco here, a few Arabic scales there, and lots of fire and enthusiasm made it hard to paste a label on the music. Nevertheless, everyone hearing the young musician in the finals of the Open Strings competition was fascinated.

Fiddle (Eastern Canada)

Ashley MacIsaac is, in a sense, the musical representative of the pre-millenial generation of Eastern Canada. An ardent traditionalist with a penchant, nevertheless, for experimentation, this 26-year-old Nova Scotian native has been taught to play the fiddle the working-class, pub-stomp Cape Breton way: fast, furious and with phenomenal precision.

Four of the most dynamic and powerful guitar artists in the world, each a master of the acoustic guitar, combine their talents into one amazing ensemble. Men of Steel is Beppe Gambetta (Italy), Dan Crary (US), Tony McManus (Scotland), and Don Ross (Canada). Four Way Mirror is their second release.
