London-based artist/producer, Laszlo, has already had successful career composing music for TV programmes and adverts across the world, as well as being a multi instrumentalist. Laszlo has previously worked on a variety of styles during his ten years in the business, including everything from world-crossover albums to more mainstream flavours. His influences vary from Claude Debussy and Igor Stravinsky to Ryuichi Sakamoto and Frank Zappa, as well as modern experimentalists like Aphex Twin, Matthew Herbert, Akufen, and Venetian Snares.
In the summer of 2007, a broken arm left Laszlo unable to play instruments for the six months. It was because of this injury that he started focusing on his sound by creating bizarre, processed instruments using samples of real performances.
Laszlo is contemporary and alternative, but still truly listenable. His music is a fusion of genres including electronica, jazz and ambient music. These styles together combine organic elements and electronic textures for an outstanding effect. The structural genius of Laszlo’s music puts him up there with the musicians who influenced him, and his compositions will undoubtedly leave the listener wanting more.
