"From 1 to 8" is a collection of eight beautiful new compositions for contemporary acoustic guitar. Or - depending on who's listening - it's a collection of eight study etudes for guitarists, focusing on composition, deep musicality and intricate technique.
From the Study Notes, Pino writes: “I think that the best technique is built on the understanding of the musical thought, rather than on the perfect articulation of the fingers. Technical skills can never be separated from the music itself, because the deeper you delve into the composition, the more you will desire to possess the proper technique to express it. Music and technique live together; they feed each other.”
