Based out of Gloucestershire UK, Dan Lewis is a fingerstyle guitarist and composer with roots in heavy metal, prog, classical, and more. Having started his career playing in bands and working as a session musician, he began his fingerstyle guitar journey as a teenager. Learning classical guitar and arranging popular songs for solo guitar.
Whilst in his twenties, having worked as a guitar teacher and session musician for years, Dan began working on original music for solo guitar and experimenting with new guitar tunings and techniques. Coming from a background in many genres and many vastly different influences from all types of music, he managed to find his own unique sound. Fusing technical playing with melody, unconventional song structure, odd time signatures and more.
After signing to Candyrat Records in early 2026, Dan’s debut album "A New Leaf" became available worldwide for online and physical distribution. It includes compositions such as "Another Day In Paradise", "A Drop In The Ocean" and "A New Leaf", as well as some featured arrangements of compositions by world-renowned artists such as Sleep Token, and Queen.
